Equipment, destination and a good start

Children’s ski rental: a practical checklist

Prepare children’s ski equipment: age categories, boots, helmets, fitting and a convenient pickup for the family.

Prepare details for each child

Check the rental service’s age bands rather than assuming that every shop uses the same child category. Have each child’s age, approximate height, shoe size and skiing experience available. Enter only the details actually requested in the secure booking flow.

Let the rental staff choose and adjust equipment using accurate information. Booking a category online does not replace checking fit in person.

Check the package item by item

  • Skis or snowboard appropriate to the child’s ability.
  • Boots included or priced separately, with time allowed for fitting.
  • Helmet inclusion and local helmet requirements checked separately.
  • Any poles or other items confirmed in the offer, not assumed.
  • Return deadline and any exchange arrangements understood.

Make collection manageable for the family

Choose a shop that fits your arrival route and accommodation. Keep the booking documents accessible, take the socks the child expects to ski in and allow enough time for several fittings. If an item is uncomfortable, raise it with the shop before leaving.

Do not infer safety rules from the language of this page. Follow the current rules of the destination and the instructions of rental staff and ski-school professionals.
